A free, browser-based editor and librarian for the Roland JD-990 and JD-800, built by Patrik Pistol. Edit every parameter live over Web MIDI, shape envelopes graphically, fetch and switch patches and banks, manage your own private banks, and save or load .syx files — all in the browser, with nothing to install. It also brings the SR-JV80 expansion cards to the JD-990, including waveforms for most cards and the SR-JV80-04 Vintage Synth’s patch banks.
The editor is an ongoing project and still under active development. JD-990 support is the most complete; JD-800 support is currently more basic (single-patch editing) and is being expanded. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome.
I’m also looking to complete the SR-JV80 library: if you have .syx patch dumps for any SR-JV80 expansion card (or a JD-990 and a card to capture from), please get in touch.
